::it’s too early in the morning::
I woke up at 2 am. Then at 6 am. Then at 8 am. And at some point in there I decided to just finish this top. I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out but suspected it would not be good. Perhaps that’s why I dallied for a week. This is a really simple top that the average seamstress could sew in a matter of hours. I just lost the motivation somewhere along the way.
But I think this came out OK, right? Even kinda cute. Chris was impressed I made it myself. It’s Simplicity 5016. I made view B.
I really like the fabric too–it was a gift from Robbie over at knitxcore. I have a feeling if I put Robbie in charge of art direction and photo shoots for this blog I’d end up with something more like this or like this. Not me, standing in front of a boring old door, still in my pajama pants. Oh well.

I think it turned out great – really cute! I love the fabric too. I rarely sew, but I could spend a whole paycheck buying fabric!
Wow, I think your top came out beautifully! I am very impressed. BTW, I like your pj pants.
hehe… u look so sleepy
the top is fantastic! i just finished the reversible apron (you know the one) and it’s a god damned train wreck. I cut pieces out backwards and decided to just use the anyway, there’s a few wonky bits here and there, and i ripped a seam on one of the ties. Kinda crappy mother’s day gift! I think I’ll just pick her up some flowers.
oooh, that is super cute!!! definitely would work with a cute skirt or jeans, great for spring and summer. fabric is very cute too. your sewing skills have totally surpassed mine.
Awesome. I again bow down to your sewing prowess. The pjs make it even better.
I think it looks great! So cute!
