::yawn::
Maybe it’s the color scheme (pastel-y corals). Maybe it’s that everything looks the same (cropped cardigans barely distinguishable by details such as ruffles and button sizes) even though technically they aren’t. Maybe it’s because I loved the recent fall and winter issues so much. In any case, I am really, really underwhelmed by the Spring ‘08 Interweave Knits. It’s a good thing Lolly authored an interesting article about preserving hand knits.
The frock camisole is cute, but it’s a ringer for the prairie halter in the latest Knitscene (which I already had).
So please, blog world, I’m begging you to do what you do best: Knit up a more inspired version of some of these patterns so I too might be inspired to get my money’s worth out of it.

I feel the same way. Nothing in the issue got me excited.
I like a few projects in there. Like the shawls and there’s a pair of mittens that look fun. I do see what you mean about the colors. Blech. What were they thinking?
See, I liked it. In fact, I immediately started on the Printed Silk cardi for my sister’s birthday present. However, I can see where you are coming from – the whole peachy/pink yarn thing was just too much… they should have thrown in some spicier colors. I bet you will come around later
I love the Frock Cami too
i barely thumbbed through it. it went straight to the coffee table.
i thought i was going to like the cardigans but when i opened the mag and started looking at them they became all just so boring. i usually just read and leaf through the magazine but what i knit is from books or websites. i did enjoy the articles more that the knits this time. i still have to buy a copy of knit scene..hope it’s not too late.
